Sustainable Greenery for Modern Living
At Artigwall, we believe beautiful greenery shouldn't come at the planet's expense. Our artificial hedges are engineered to be a genuinely greener alternative — saving water, eliminating chemicals, and lasting years longer than real hedges.
Materials
Every Artigwall faux boxwood is crafted from 100% recyclable polyethylene (PE). Our PE foliage is:
- UV-stable — colour-fast and fade-resistant for outdoor use without degrading into microplastics
- Free of PVC and toxic coatings — no harmful off-gassing indoors or outdoors
Resource Savings
A real boxwood hedge demands constant resources. Ours demands none. When you choose Artigwall, you eliminate:
-
0 Water
Zero irrigation, ever. A single metre of real hedge can consume hundreds of litres per year.
-
0 Fertilizers
No soil amendments, no runoff into waterways.
-
0 Pesticides
No chemical treatments needed to keep pests or weeds at bay.
-
No power tools
No petrol-powered trimmers, no noise, no emissions from maintenance.
-
Longer replacement cycles
Real hedges need replanting every few years; ours don't.
Long Life
The most sustainable product is one you don't have to replace. That's why we back every Artigwall panel with:
- 5-year indoor warranty
- 3-year outdoor warranty
Since 2016, we've shipped over 100,000+ units to homes, hotels, restaurants, event venues, and designers worldwide. A longer lifespan means fewer panels manufactured, fewer panels disposed of, and a lower lifetime environmental footprint per installation.
Reusable panels
Our panels can be reassembled, relocated, and reused, ideal for commercial venues, hotels, and event spaces.
End of Life
When your Artigwall panels eventually reach the end of their long life, the recyclable PE material can be processed through standard plastics recycling streams. We recommend:
- Checking with your local council or recycling centre for PE (plastic type 2 or 4) drop-off points
- Donating panels in good condition to community gardens, schools, or event hire companies
- Contacting us at our contact page if you have questions about responsible disposal — we're happy to advise
We are actively exploring a formal take-back programme for commercial customers and will update this page as that develops.
